Dr Priyanka Dhopade graduated from Ryerson University, Canada, in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering. During her degree, she did interships at leading aerospace companies in Toronto to better understand the aerospace industry. After graduation, she decided to explore the world and contribute to the global aerospace sector.
Priyanka received an MEng in aerospace engineering from Monash University, Melbourne, in 2009 and soon commenced a PhD at UNSW Australia in the nation's capital, Canberra. She completed her PhD in 2013 on aeromechanical modelling of rotating fan blades to investigate high-cycle and low-cycle fatigue interaction. During her PhD, Priyanka recieved the Zonta Amelia Earhart Fellowship award of $10,000, awarded annually to 35 outstanding female aerospace PhD students worldwide.
Priyanka joined the Osney lab at Oxford in 2013, where she works on aerodynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer for gas turbine applications.
Priyanka's current research interests are in aerodynamics, thermodynamics and heat transfer for gas turbine applications.
